Giving back.
For years I would be shame to ask for a Kama’aina discount. Because I thought it made me look cheap. But the word Kama’aina does not mean “discount”. It’s an opportunity to give back to the community and to the people who make up Hawaii. More specially, those who make up our Island Maui.
Maui, this ones for you.
As I write about Kama’aina and what it means, I realize that those who really are from here shouldn’t have to ask for help. And those who are from here, will help without hesitation.
This is my way of giving back.
